Poverty was a lifelong shadow, but Park Wan had always found a way to live with it. He found purpose in the drudgery, studying hard and dreaming of a bright future in a better place. But even for him, this day was cursed.
First, a bus failure forced him to pay an exorbitant taxi fare. Then, he had to cover for his troublesome father. Expertly lying to his teachers, Park Wan left school and headed for his father’s workplace, a garden he managed for a rich man—a garden his gambling-addict father was surely neglecting. As he watered the trees, he was suddenly soaked by a blast of water from all sides. His life was nothing but one struggle after another.
Born with a silver spoon, Mu Jeonghoo had never experienced a single moment of disappointment. His life was a monotonous cycle of boredom and endurance. His nap, in his perfectly manicured garden, was interrupted by a boy in a crumpled school uniform. The kid, utterly oblivious to the rule of not disturbing him, was drenching the entire area with water. But it was the glimpse of pale skin beneath the uniform that caught his eye.
"Klur, turn it on."
Under the blazing sun, the boy's soaked white shirt became see-through, revealing his fair skin and faint nipples. Mu Jeonghoo's tongue traced the inside of his mouth.
