The person who ate this Gongjin-dan was Jung Pureum, who had been a Beta. He collapsed during his college entrance exam, specifically during the English listening test, and awakened as an Alpha.

This story follows Moon Youngha, who is trying to revitalize his failing oriental medicine clinic (which is struggling because its director is an Omega), and Jung Pureum, a physical education student who has had a crush on Youngha for over a decade.

In the end, Moon Youngha blurts out that he will take responsibility for Jung Pureum to avoid being sued.
